The Uninhabitable Earth: Life After Warming by David Wallace-Wells https://www.amazon.ca/Uninhab.../dp/B07GVPFH5V/ref=sr_1_1... 2. The Discovery of Global Warming: Revised and Expanded Edition by Spencer R. Weart https://www.amazon.ca/Discove.../dp/067403189X/ref=sr_1_1... 3. Merchants of Doubt: How a Handful of Scientists Obscured the Truth on Issues from Tobacco Smoke to Climate Changeby by Naomi Oreskes and Erik M. Conway https://www.amazon.ca/Merchan.../dp/1608193942/ref=sr_1_1... 4. This Changes Everything: Capitalism vs. the Climate by Naomi Klein https://www.amazon.ca/This.../dp/0307402002/ref=sr_1_1... 5. Drawdown: The Most Comprehensive Plan Ever Proposed to Reverse Global Warming Edited by Paul Hawken https://www.amazon.ca/Drawdow.../dp/0143130447/ref=sr_1_1...
Conservation measures do not always respect local cultural norms and social structures, and may not bring direct benefits to communities. In some parts of the world, conservation efforts have often ignored local and traditional knowledge and land/sea tenure systems infavour of a top-down scientific model, resulting in social and cultural losses to coastal communities. My theology is a simple muddle, I cannot look at the universe as the result of blind chance, yet I can see no evidence of beneficent design, or indeed of design of any kind, in the details. As for each variation that has ever occurred having been preordained for a special end. I can no more believe in it than that the spot on which each drop of rain falls has been specially ordained.
